Hair Mesotherapy
Feed the Follicle Directly. A cocktail of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and growth-supporting actives injected in small amounts across the scalp.
Service Description
WHAT IT IS A cocktail of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and growth-supporting actives injected in small amounts across the scalp, delivering nutrients directly to the hair follicles and improving the local blood supply that feeds them. WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE IT Topical hair products face the same barrier problem as skincare — very little reaches the follicle. Injecting into the scalp puts the nutrients where the follicle actually is, and improves circulation to the area at the same time. WHAT WE AIM FOR Reduced shedding, improved hair quality and thickness, and support for follicles that are thinning but still active. WHO IT SUITS · Diffuse thinning across the scalp · Increased shedding · Hair that has become finer and weaker · Early-stage hair loss in men and women · Supporting the result of other hair treatments TREATMENT DETAILS Appointment: 30–45 minutes Discomfort: Multiple small injections; numbing available Downtime: None; wash hair after 24 hours First results: Reduced shedding at 6–8 weeks Sessions: Course of 6–8, two weeks apart Maintenance: Every 4–6 months FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Mesotherapy or PRP for hair? PRP uses your own concentrated growth factors and generally has the stronger evidence base for androgenetic hair loss. Mesotherapy supplies nutrients and is more affordable. They combine well, and Dr Selvi will recommend based on your assessment and your budget rather than defaulting to the more expensive. How soon will I see a difference? Hair grows slowly and the cycle is long. Expect reduced shedding first, at around six to eight weeks, then visible new growth from three to four months. Judging the result before four months is judging it too early. Will it work for me? It depends entirely on why you are losing hair, which is why assessment comes first. Thinning follicles that are still alive can be stimulated; follicles that have been dormant for years and where the scalp is completely smooth cannot. Dr Selvi will examine your scalp and tell you honestly which situation you are in. Do I need blood tests? Often, yes. Iron deficiency, thyroid dysfunction, vitamin D deficiency and hormonal factors are common and treatable causes of hair loss, and treating the scalp while ignoring an underlying cause achieves very little. Dr Selvi will advise what testing is appropriate. Does it hurt? The scalp is sensitive and there are multiple injection points. Numbing is applied and most patients manage well, describing it as uncomfortable rather than painful. It is over quickly. Will I need to keep having it? Hair loss is usually an ongoing process, so maintenance sessions every four to six months are typically needed to hold the result. Stopping entirely generally means gradual return to the previous state. Who will treat me? All treatments at Dr Selvi Clinic are carried out by a doctor, following a face-to-face consultation and an assessment of your suitability.
