Why does the assessment matter so much here? Because this is an area where unregulated providers operate and where patients have been harmed by unlicensed products. A medical assessment, a doctor administering the treatment, and an honest conversation about the evidence are the safeguards. What if I decide against it after the assessment? That is a perfectly reasonable outcome and no treatment will proceed. The assessment exists so that you can make an informed decision, not to sell you something. Do I need a consultation first? Yes.
