Service Description

WHAT IT IS An intravenous infusion of NAD+, a coenzyme present in every cell and central to energy production and DNA repair. Levels decline with age. The infusion is given slowly, typically over 60 to 90 minutes, following a medical assessment. WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE IT NAD+ has become one of the most discussed compounds in longevity medicine, and patients interested in that field seek it for its role in cellular energy metabolism and repair. WHAT WE AIM FOR Support for cellular energy and repair pathways as part of a longevity-focused wellness plan, under medical supervision. WHO IT SUITS · Interest in longevity and cellular health · Fatigue where medical causes have been excluded · Wanting a doctor-supervised infusion · Combining with a broader wellness assessment TREATMENT DETAILS Appointment: 90 minutes — the infusion is given slowly Assessment: Medical assessment required beforehand Discomfort: Cannula insertion; flushing or chest tightness possible if run too fast Downtime: None Frequency: Advised individually Also available as: NAD+ Skin Booster — £299 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Why does it take so long? NAD+ must be infused slowly. Given too quickly it commonly causes flushing, chest tightness, nausea and a general unpleasant sensation. The rate is adjusted to your comfort throughout, and rushing it is not an option. Is the evidence strong? The biology of NAD+ is well established; the clinical evidence for intravenous supplementation in healthy people is much less so. Dr Selvi will set out honestly what is known and what is still speculative before you commit to it. Do I need a consultation first? Yes. Intravenous and injectable nutrient therapies require a medical assessment of your suitability, your medical history and your medications before any treatment is given. This is not a walk-in service. Is this a substitute for medical treatment? No. These are wellness treatments, not treatments for diagnosed medical conditions. If you have symptoms that concern you, see your GP — and tell Dr Selvi about any diagnosis or medication at your assessment. What are the risks? Bruising, discomfort at the injection or cannula site, and occasionally light-headedness. More significant reactions are uncommon but possible, which is why treatment is given by a doctor after assessment. All risks are explained before you consent. How will I feel afterwards? Most people feel fine and return to normal activities immediately. Some report feeling more energetic; responses vary considerably between individuals and it would be wrong to promise a particular effect. How often can I have it? That depends on the treatment and on you. Dr Selvi will advise an appropriate interval at your assessment rather than encouraging routine frequent use. Who will treat me? All treatments at Dr Selvi Clinic are carried out by a doctor, following a face-to-face consultation and an assessment of your suitability. BOOKING Book online, or start with the free 15-minute initial consultation if you are unsure which treatment is right for you. Prices are a guide and may vary according to your personalised treatment plan.
