WHAT THE CONSULTATION COVERS A face-to-face consultation with Dr Selvi about fine lines in several areas of the face at once — commonly the forehead, the area around the eyes and, in some cases, the jaw. Rather than looking at one area, it considers the face as a whole and whether a lighter-dose prescription-only treatment across several areas is appropriate. This differs from the Light-Dose Lines appointment, which focuses on a single concern. WHO IT MAY SUIT · Fine lines in more than one area of the face · Wanting the face assessed as a whole rather than one area at a time · Keeping natural expression as a priority · Questions about whether a lighter-dose plan is suitable WHAT HAPPENS IF TREATMENT IS APPROPRIATE If a prescription-only treatment is appropriate, Dr Selvi prescribes and administers it himself after a face-to-face assessment; if it is not, he will say so and discuss alternatives. If treatment is given, any effect is usually visible within 3–7 days, fully seen at about 2 weeks and typically lasts 3–4 months. TREATMENT DETAILS Appointment: Up to 60 minutes Assessment: Face-to-face with Dr Selvi, including medical history, current medicines and how your face moves Comfort: Numbing cream can be used Downtime: Usually little or none; avoid touching or rubbing the treated areas for 24 hours and strenuous exercise for a day FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How is this different from the Light-Dose Lines appointment? This appointment looks at several areas together; the Light-Dose Lines appointment focuses on one concern. If you are unsure, Dr Selvi will advise. What are the risks? Temporary redness, swelling or bruising at the injection points are the most common. Rarely, the result can look uneven or facial movement can feel temporarily different. Dr Selvi explains the risks for each area before you decide. Will people be able to tell? Results vary between individuals and cannot be predicted exactly. The plan is agreed with you, taking into account how much expression you want to keep. Who is it not suitable for? Treatment is not given to anyone under 18, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with certain neuromuscular conditions or medicines. Dr Selvi checks this at the consultation. Who will treat me?
