Service Description

WHAT THE CONSULTATION COVERS A face-to-face consultation with Dr Selvi about fine lines on the face. He looks at your skin at rest and with expression, asks what concerns you and what you would like to keep, and considers whether a lighter-dose approach is appropriate — or whether another option would suit the concern better, such as a skin-quality treatment where fine lines relate mainly to texture rather than movement. WHO IT MAY SUIT · Fine lines that you would like a doctor to assess · A first appointment for lines and wrinkles, with questions about what is involved · Keeping natural facial expression as a priority · Lines where skin quality, rather than movement, may be the main factor WHAT HAPPENS IF TREATMENT IS APPROPRIATE If a prescription-only treatment is appropriate, Dr Selvi prescribes and administers it himself after a face-to-face assessment; if it is not, he will say so and discuss alternatives. TREATMENT DETAILS Appointment: Up to 60 minutes Assessment: Face-to-face with Dr Selvi, including medical history, current medicines and how your face moves Downtime: Usually little or none; avoid rubbing the area and strenuous exercise for 24 hours if treatment is given FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What does 'light-dose' mean? It describes using a smaller amount of a prescription-only treatment than a standard plan, where Dr Selvi judges this suitable. Whether it suits you depends on your anatomy, your lines and what you want; it is not right for everyone. Will people be able to tell? Results vary between individuals and cannot be predicted exactly. Dr Selvi discusses what is realistic for your lines and agrees the plan with you before anything is done. What are the risks? The most common are temporary redness, swelling or bruising at the injection points, and headache. Less commonly, a brow or eyelid can feel heavy or droop, or the result can look uneven; these effects are temporary but can last several weeks. Dr Selvi explains the risks for your face before you decide. Who is it not suitable for? Treatment is not given to anyone under 18, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with certain neuromuscular conditions or medicines. Dr Selvi checks this at the consultation. Who will treat me? All treatments at Dr Selvi Clinic are carried out by Dr Selvi, a doctor, after a face-to-face consultation and an assessment of your suitability. BOOKING Book online, or start with a free initial consultation if you are unsure which option is right for you. Prices are a guide and are confirmed after assessment.
