Cheek filler focuses on the cheekbone. Midface rejuvenation plans the cheek, the under-eye and the upper fold area together, so the support is shared across the zone rather than placed at one point. Will I need separate under-eye filler as well? Not always. Supporting the cheek can improve the look of under-eye hollows, and the midface plan may already address the junction with the under-eye. Dr Selvi will tell you whether a separate under-eye treatment would add anything. Will I look overfilled? Not with a plan built on restoring what was lost. Volume is spread across the zone rather than concentrated in one place, and Dr Selvi reviews the result before suggesting anything more. What are the risks? Swelling, tenderness and bruising are common. The rare, serious risk is vascular occlusion: filler blocking or pressing on a blood vessel and reducing the blood supply to the skin. Close to the eye it can, very rarely, affect vision. Pale or blotchy skin or increasing pain means phoning the clinic straight away, and any change in vision needs 999 or A&E first. Hyaluronidase is kept on site. Is it reversible? Yes. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if there is a complication, or if you are unhappy once the result has settled. Classic or Premium Midface Rejuvenation? Both use hyaluronic acid and both are given by Dr Selvi.
