PDO Thread Lift (8 Threads)
The Fuller Lift. Eight Threads. The same absorbable polydioxanone thread lift technique using eight threads rather than four.
Service Description
WHAT IT IS The same absorbable polydioxanone thread lift technique using eight threads rather than four, allowing a more comprehensive lift across both sides of the face or across more than one area — typically the mid-face and jawline together. WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE IT Four threads suit mild, localised laxity. Where descent is moderate, or where both the mid-face and the jawline need addressing, eight threads distribute the lift properly rather than over-loading too few threads and producing an uneven result. WHAT WE AIM FOR A comprehensive, balanced lift across the treated areas, immediately visible and supported by collagen formation as the threads dissolve. WHO IT SUITS · Moderate mid-face and jawline descent · Wanting both sides comprehensively treated · Jowling that four threads would not adequately lift · Seeking the strongest non-surgical lift available · Combining a mid-face and jawline lift in one session TREATMENT DETAILS Appointment: 90–120 minutes Discomfort: Local anaesthetic used; pulling sensation during placement Downtime: Swelling and bruising 5–10 days; tightness for 2 weeks Restrictions: No dental work, facials or heavy exercise for 2–3 weeks; sleep on your back Results: Immediate, settling over 2–4 weeks Duration: 12–18 months Threads: 8 threads FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How long before an event should I have this? At least four weeks, ideally six. Bruising and swelling take up to ten days, and the result settles over two to four weeks. Do not book this close to a wedding. Why the sleeping and dental restrictions? The threads need time to anchor. Sleeping on your face, opening your mouth widely for dental work, or vigorous facial movement in the first weeks can displace them and compromise the result. The restrictions are short and worth observing. Can the threads be removed if I dislike the result? Removal is possible in the early period but is not straightforward, and this is a genuine consideration. This is why Dr Selvi will discuss expectations carefully and will decline to treat where the anatomy or the expectations are not right. What happens when the threads dissolve? The polydioxanone is absorbed over six to nine months, but collagen has formed along each thread's path during that time and continues to provide support. The result fades gradually rather than dropping suddenly. Is eight always better than four? No. More threads in a face that does not need them can look overdone or unnatural. Dr Selvi recommends the number your face requires, and will say if four is the right answer for you. Who will treat me? All treatments at Dr Selvi Clinic are carried out by a doctor, following a face-to-face consultation and an assessment of your suitability. BOOKING Book online, or start with the free 15-minute initial consultation if you are unsure which treatment is right for you.
