Service Description

WHAT IT IS Premium filler used to soften the nasolabial folds running from nose to mouth, and the marionette lines running from the mouth corners downward. Treated as one area because they share the same underlying cause. This is the Premium Range, using established branded hyaluronic acid fillers — Juvéderm, Teoxane and Restylane — chosen for their specific gel characteristics and their long clinical track record. WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE IT These are the lines that make a resting face look stern or sad — a genuine problem, because people respond to the expression they think they see. Softening them changes how you are read, not just how you look. WHAT WE AIM FOR Softened folds, lifted mouth corners and a more neutral, approachable resting expression — with the lines improved rather than erased, because complete erasure looks artificial. WHO IT SUITS · Deep nasolabial folds · Downturned mouth corners · Being told you look cross or tired when you are not · Lines that persist when your face is at rest TREATMENT DETAILS Appointment: 30–45 minutes Discomfort: Numbing cream applied Downtime: Mild swelling for 2–3 days Final result: 2 weeks Duration: 9–15 months FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Should the cheeks be treated first? Frequently, yes. These folds are often caused by descending cheek volume, and lifting the cheek can improve them substantially. Dr Selvi will assess whether treating the fold directly, the cheek, or both gives you the better result. Can the lines be removed completely? They can be softened considerably but should not be erased entirely — these folds are a normal part of facial anatomy at every age, and a face without them looks distinctly odd. What is the difference between the Classic and Premium ranges? Both use hyaluronic acid and both are administered by the same doctor. The Premium range uses branded fillers with particular gel properties — how firmly they hold shape, how they integrate with tissue, how they behave under movement — and generally a longer duration. Dr Selvi will advise which is appropriate for your anatomy and your goal; more expensive is not automatically better for every area. Is it reversible? Yes. All hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if you are unhappy or if there is a complication. This is one of the main reasons hyaluronic acid remains the preferred material. Will I bruise? It is possible, particularly in vascular areas. Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen and fish oil supplements for 48 hours beforehand if you can, and allow around two weeks before an important event. What are the risks? Common effects are swelling, tenderness and bruising, which settle within days. Rare but serious risks include vascular occlusion, which is why treatment should only be carried out by a trained doctor who can recognise and manage it. Dr Selvi will explain all risks fully before you consent. How soon can I see the final result? You will see an immediate change, but initial swelling means the true result appears at around two weeks. Do not judge your outcome before then, and do not seek a top-up before the two-week review. Who will treat me? All injectable treatments at Dr Selvi Clinic are carried out by a doctor, following a face-to-face consultation and an assessment of your suitability.
