Service Description

WHAT IT IS Profhilo applied to the areas that most commonly betray age and are most often ignored — the neck, the décolletage and the backs of the hands. It uses a high concentration of hyaluronic acid that spreads through the tissue, hydrating and stimulating collagen and elastin. WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE IT People invest heavily in their face and then present a neck and a pair of hands that tell a completely different story. These areas have thin skin, little fat and few oil glands, so they age faster and respond poorly to creams. WHAT WE AIM FOR Firmer, better-hydrated skin on the treated area with visibly improved crepiness and texture, bringing it back into line with the face. WHO IT SUITS · Crepey neck or décolletage skin · Chest lines that show in open necklines · Ageing hands with thin, papery skin · Having treated the face and wanting consistency TREATMENT DETAILS Appointment: 30–45 minutes Discomfort: Numbing cream applied Downtime: Visible bumps settling within 24 hours First results: 4 weeks Sessions: 2 sessions, one month apart Duration: 6–9 months Covers: One area per session FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Which area should I treat first? The neck is usually the most visible giveaway, but Dr Selvi will assess and advise. Hands are often the area patients regret leaving longest. Will it help sun damage on my chest? It improves hydration, texture and firmness. Pigmentation from sun damage needs a different approach — often a peel or mesotherapy — and the two combine well. Will this change the shape of my face? No. Skin boosters are not fillers — they hydrate and improve the quality of the skin rather than adding contour or volume. Your proportions stay exactly as they are. Will there be visible bumps afterwards? Small raised areas at the injection points are normal with several of these treatments and usually settle within 24 hours. Plan around anything important the following day. How often do I need to repeat it? Most skin boosters follow an initial course, then maintenance every six to twelve months. Dr Selvi will set out your specific schedule at consultation. Can I combine it with other treatments? Yes. Skin boosters address skin quality, while fillers address volume and anti-wrinkle injections address movement lines. They target different problems and are frequently planned together. What are the risks? Injection-site redness, small bumps, swelling and occasional bruising are common and short-lived. More significant reactions are uncommon. Dr Selvi will explain all risks fully before you consent. Who will treat me? All injectable treatments at Dr Selvi Clinic are carried out by a doctor, following a face-to-face consultation and an assessment of your suitability. BOOKING Book online, or start with the free 15-minute initial consultation if you are unsure which treatment is right for you.
