Service Description

WHAT IT IS Profhilo Structura is the deep-tissue member of the Profhilo family, formulated to be placed in the subcutaneous fat layer rather than the dermis. It works on the fat compartments and the deep support structures — improving the tissue architecture that holds the face up, rather than the skin surface. WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE IT Standard Profhilo hydrates and improves skin quality. Structura addresses the layer beneath, where the loss of fat-pad volume and connective support genuinely drives facial ageing. It is the more substantial treatment for patients whose issue is structural rather than superficial. WHAT WE AIM FOR Improved deep tissue support and facial contour, restoring firmness at the structural level while remaining entirely free of the shape-changing effect of conventional filler. WHO IT SUITS · Deep tissue laxity and loss of facial support · Having had standard Profhilo and wanted more · Facial gauntness after weight loss · Wanting structural improvement without contour-changing filler TREATMENT DETAILS Appointment: 45–60 minutes Discomfort: Numbing cream applied Downtime: Small raised bumps settling within 24 hours First results: 4 weeks Full result: 3 months Duration: 12 months Sessions: 2 sessions, one month apart, is the standard protocol FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How is this different from standard Profhilo? Placement depth and formulation. Standard Profhilo is placed in the dermis and improves skin hydration, elasticity and glow. Structura is placed in the deep fat layer and addresses the structural support beneath. They are complementary, not alternatives. Why is it considerably more expensive? It is a more concentrated product used at a higher volume in the deep tissue, and the standard protocol is two sessions. Dr Selvi will confirm exactly what your plan includes before you commit. How is a biostimulator different from filler? Filler adds volume immediately — the gel itself is what you see. A biostimulator adds very little volume at first; it prompts your own body to produce new collagen over the following months. The result builds slowly and is your own tissue, which is why it looks and moves naturally. Why does it take so long to see a result? Because collagen production is a biological process, not a mechanical one. Expect the first visible change at around six to eight weeks and the full result at three to four months. Patience here is not a drawback — it is why nobody can tell you had anything done. Is it reversible? No. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, biostimulators cannot be dissolved. This is why conservative dosing and an experienced injector matter, and why Dr Selvi will assess carefully whether you are a suitable candidate. Do I need to massage afterwards? For most biostimulators, yes — usually five minutes, five times a day, for five days. Dr Selvi will give you specific aftercare instructions for your product, and following them properly matters for an even result. What are the risks? Swelling, bruising and tenderness are common and settle within days. Nodules under the skin are the main specific risk with this class of product; they are uncommon with correct technique and dosing, and are manageable. All risks will be explained fully before you consent. Who will treat me? All injectable treatments at Dr Selvi Clinic are carried out by a doctor, following a face-to-face consultation and an assessment of your suitability.
