Service Description
WHAT IT IS PRX-T33 combines TCA with hydrogen peroxide and kojic acid in a formulation that is massaged into the skin. The hydrogen peroxide protects the surface layer, allowing the TCA to stimulate the deeper dermis without causing the frosting and shedding of a conventional TCA peel. WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE IT It gives dermal stimulation — the thing that actually improves skin quality — without needles and without downtime. It is one of the few treatments that meaningfully improves skin firmness while being safe in pregnancy, which few options are. WHAT WE AIM FOR Firmer, brighter, more revitalised skin with improved texture and reduced fine lines, and no visible recovery period. WHO IT SUITS · Wanting dermal stimulation without needles · Skin laxity and loss of firmness · Scarring and stretch marks · Pregnancy or breastfeeding, when most options are unavailable · No tolerance for downtime TREATMENT DETAILS Appointment: 30–45 minutes Discomfort: Brief stinging during application Downtime: None; mild redness for an hour or two First results: After the first session; builds over the course Sessions: Course of 4–5, one week apart Maintenance: Every 4–6 weeks FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Is it really safe during pregnancy? PRX-T33 is one of the few treatments generally considered acceptable in pregnancy, but this must be confirmed for you individually. Tell Dr Selvi you are pregnant or breastfeeding at consultation and she will assess it properly rather than assuming. Can it be used on stretch marks? Yes — it is commonly used on stretch marks and scars, where the dermal stimulation helps improve texture and appearance over a course. Results vary with how old and how deep the marks are. Do I have to prepare my skin beforehand? For most peels, yes. Stop retinoids and exfoliating acids for about a week before, avoid sun exposure and fake tan, and do not have hair removal or waxing on the area for a week. Dr Selvi will give you specific instructions for your peel. What is the aftercare? Daily broad-spectrum SPF 50 is non-negotiable — freshly peeled skin burns and pigments easily, and skipping sun protection is the single most common reason a peel result disappoints. Use gentle cleansing, plenty of moisturiser, and do not pick or pull flaking skin. Can I have a peel if I have darker skin? Yes, but the choice of peel matters a great deal. Deeper peels carry a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in richly pigmented skin. Dr Selvi will select an appropriate peel and depth, and may recommend priming your skin beforehand. When should I not have a peel? Not during pregnancy or breastfeeding for most agents, not over active cold sores, broken skin or infection, not on recently sun-exposed or sunburnt skin, and not while taking oral isotretinoin or within six months of stopping. Tell Dr Selvi about all medications at consultation. How soon before an event should I have one? Allow at least two weeks for a light peel and four weeks for a medium-depth peel. Never have a peel for the first time in the week before something important. Who will treat me? All treatments at Dr Selvi Clinic are carried out by a doctor, following a face-to-face consultation and an assessment of your suitability.
