No, though they complement each other. Mapping is done beforehand to plan the route. Guided injection is live imaging during the procedure itself. For the highest-risk treatments, Dr Selvi may recommend both. Does it make the treatment take longer? Slightly — usually 10 to 15 minutes more. Most patients treating a delicate area consider that a worthwhile exchange. Do I need it for lips or cheeks? Generally no. It is most valuable under the eyes, in the nose, and wherever previous filler has distorted the normal anatomy. Who will treat me?
