Is Plexr better than HIFU for eyelids?

Neither is better in general. Plexr reduces excess eyelid skin directly and suits a visible fold; HIFU tightens the brow and surrounding tissue and suits mild laxity or a lowered brow. The right one depends on the cause, assessed at examination.

Can HIFU be done on the eyelids themselves?

HIFU is applied around the orbit, on the brow, temple and forehead, at shallow depths near the eye. It is not fired through the eyelid skin, so it cannot remove eyelid excess. Plexr is the treatment used on the lid itself.

Which has less downtime, Plexr or HIFU?

HIFU by a wide margin: mild redness and tenderness for a day or two, no crusts. Plexr produces carbon crusts for five to seven days, swelling for two to three days and pinkness for a few weeks.

Can you have Plexr and HIFU together?

Yes, and for many patients over 45 both are useful. They are done at separate appointments, usually HIFU first and Plexr eight to twelve weeks later, once the brow has settled.

How much does Plexr or HIFU for the eyes cost in Brighton?

At Dr Selvi Clinic, Plexr upper eyelid is normally £399 and £299 per session during the launch promotion; HIFU for the eye area and brow is £249. The consultation is free and the final price is confirmed after examination.

How long do the results last?

Plexr results are long-lasting because excess skin has been reduced, though ageing continues. HIFU results build over two to three months and typically last twelve to eighteen months before maintenance.
